Autism and chiropractic research Objective: Reporting outcomes after care chiropractic upper cervical spine in a child with various neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, ADHD, ADHD, etc.

Clinical characteristics: patients aged 10 to 11 years with a medical diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, bipolar disorder, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, or autism and chiropractic who usually present a main pain in the upper thoracic area.

A chiropractic examination revealed abnormal asymmetrical posture, poor balance. And disorganization of locomotion and lack of leg control.

The subluxation was analyzed using a Tytron C-5000 thermography scanner.And supine leg length analysis, and upper cervical x-rays. They indicated that he had upper cervical subluxation. Intervention and results:

Patients underwent eight weeks of treatment using the upper cervical protocol. The frequency of adjustment was once a week.

Each visit was reviewed with the Tytron thermographic scanner and supine leg length analysis. They received no other treatment or lifestyle modifications during this time period. After each adjustment, their subluxation indicators were no longer present.

At her 8-week reassessment her abnormal, asymmetrical posture was almost completely symmetrical and her balance had improved. Her upper chest pain resolved within 4 weeks.

Conclusions: Autism and chiropractic

In this case, children diagnosed with ASD, ODD, bipolar disorder and ADHD. Who also had postural asymmetry with reduced limb coordination.

They showed significant improvement in posture control and balance after two months of application of cervical chiropractic subluxation technique.

Given the increasing population of children with such problems, it is imperative that more research be conducted. And wait to further evaluate the role of chiropractic care in the treatment of children with these neurological disorders.
