Natural Remedy for a Migrated Herniated Disc

I NO LONGER REMEMBER MY HERNIA tonilopezMy name is Toni, I'm 42 years old, and I've been seeing a chiropractor regularly for almost 3 years. I discovered chiropractic by chance.

I'm from Santa Eulàlia de Ronçana, and one day, while walking around Granollers, we saw that a pharmacy was offering free posture screenings and providing information on how to stay healthy.

My wife, who is more open to any natural remedies, came over to see what it was all about and insisted that we try it. The truth is, I'm actually a pretty skeptical person, and I never thought I'd be telling this story now.

She wanted to make an appointment, and—almost just to avoid an argument—I have to say that even though I grumbled, I agreed to go see Dr. Marc at his office. I was really getting a little fed up with my problems.

I have a herniated disc that is located in such a way that it affects three of my lumbar vertebrae. Seven years ago, I was bent over, completely immobilized, unable to move. The only thing conventional medicine did was give me lots of muscle relaxants—so many that I spent the whole day dazed, practically dragging myself around; I felt like I didn’t have the strength to do anything. I also felt tired from the moment I woke up until I went to bed; I was even starting to feel numbness in my hands and arms and a general numbness throughout my body due to the large amount of muscle relaxants I had to take.

I feel so great now that I don't even remember the hernia, and even though it's probably still there, it doesn't affect my life. Before, I had to be very careful about everything I did, and I always did it with the fear of getting stuck again, but now I almost forget about it.

What’s more, I had forgotten all about it and was working so hard that in July of last year I had a relapse and was admitted to the hospital. Dr. Marc happened to be away on a visit, and the hospital had already scheduled me for hernia surgery, but I had such confidence in chiropractic care that I flatly refused to have the surgery.

As soon as Dr. Marc was back he came to the hospital to adjust me several times and in very few adjustments, my body recovered again. At the hospital they could not believe it and forced me to sign a voluntary discharge, and also against their opinion and so I did.

I still don’t think about my hernia, but I’m paying attention to how my body is doing so I can help prevent a relapse. Not only has my hernia improved, but I actually feel much more agile at work and in everything I do, and I don’t feel tired at all anymore. I’m really eager to do things and don’t feel limited in any way.

Plus, now that my body is functioning better, if at any time I have to make a more significant physical effort required by my job, my body also takes much less time to recover. I recommend chiropractic care to everyone—it has changed my life. Now, not only are my wife and I coming in for treatments, but our two children do as well, and almost our entire family does too—my in-laws, uncles and aunts… Thank you very much.
