Abstract: This study examined the effects of cervical chiropractic adjustments on the immune system by assessing CD4 cell counts in HIV-positive patients. To this end, the CD4 count per mm³ in the blood was measured.
The data were collected at independent medical centers selected because the results showed that the experimental group treated with the Chiropractic showed a 48% increase in CD4 cells over a 6-month period.
The control group that did not receive chiropractic treatment experienced a 7.96% decrease in their CD4 cells during the same period.
