What is the basis of chiropractic?
To correct the condition known as vertebral subluxation, the chiropractor uses an adjustment—a term that refers to the very precise and specific pressure and thrust, usually applied by hand, intended to correct the misalignment of a vertebra.
To perform an adjustment, the practitioner must possess great dexterity and manual skill, as well as a comprehensive scientific and specialized education that provides him or her with extensive knowledge of the human body, particularly the spine.
How can chiropractic care help us?
There are several reasons. Which one applies to you? Spinal problems: headaches, neck and back pain, herniated discs, sciatica, lumbago, scoliosis. Our interest in the spine stems from the fact that it is the center of the nervous system.

Natural, medication-free care: Many people who prefer to avoid risky medications or irreversible surgery come to see us. Chiropractic care is a safer, more natural approach to wellness. It’s perfect before, during, and after pregnancy.
Maintenance and Prevention: If you've seen a chiropractor before, you already know how valuable it is. We would be honored to be your chiropractor.
Staying Healthy: We experience life through our nervous system. That’s why anyone who wants to optimize their health, reach their full potential, and function at their best.
Training to Become a Chiropractic Specialist (university)
Chiropractors receive a university education, equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Spain. The chiropractic program lasts six to seven academic years, which is equivalent to approximately 5,500 class hours. Internationally, the Council on Chiropractic Education sets the educational standards for the profession, thereby preventing unlicensed practice.
Origin and History
The chiropractic profession originated in 1895 in Iowa, U.S.A. Dr. Daniel David Palmer was the first to successfully perform a treatment by adjusting a misaligned vertebra in Harvey Lillard, a deaf patient. The patient immediately regained his hearing.
The positive results of this initial treatment sparked a series of studies in the United States that led to the birth of chiropractic. Once the results were confirmed, chiropractic was validated by the medical profession.
Since then, chiropractic has developed alongside allopathic medicine, becoming the third-largest primary care health profession (after medicine and dentistry) in terms of importance and number of patients.
