Hi, my name is Ana. I'm 35 years old and I live in St. Feliu de Codines. I was introduced to chiropractic care by a relative who has been coming to the clinic for some time now and who encouraged me to come.
I had my first appointment, and I’ve been adjusting ever since. My cousin—who introduced me to chiropractic care—had a general idea of the problems I was having and told me he could probably help me. I had been suffering from various types of allergy symptoms in Barcelona, nasal congestion, and excess histamine, which caused swelling in my eyes and lips, for about 8 years.
Because of these problems, I visited an allergist, who prescribed antihistamines and nasal sprays. They kept my allergies under control at first, but lately they haven’t been working. I noticed that my allergies got worse during periods of stress, and that spending the day with a stuffy nose increased my stress levels even more, given that this health issue affects me significantly in many ways. So, when I reached this point, the next symptom would manifest as muscle tension in my back. I got tired of it and stopped taking the medication.
Among other things, because I was on a lot of cortisone and had resigned myself to always being congested and feeling unwell. Now that I’ve been coming here, I no longer have nasal congestion and I’m more relaxed than before. A stressful situation that would have caused me to tense up before now only causes a slight spasm in my upper eyelid.
