Chiropractic Benefits for Seniors

More and more people around the world are turning to chiropractors, and seniors are no exception. According to an article published on August 24, 1999, in USA Today.

More than 80% of people aged 65 and older are familiar with what the article refers to as “alternative medicine”

EThis awareness has led to an increasing use of these services. The percentage of people using chiropractic care and other non-medical disciplines is as follows: The Chiropractic ranks first with a usage rate of 32%;
Next come massage therapies such as physical therapy or chiromassage with a 16%
followed by acupuncture using a 9%,
homeopathy with a 4%,
and naturopathy and Chinese medicine, both with a 3%.

The Chiropractic based on the scientifically proven belief that, in general, health and well-being have a direct impact on improving the quality of life, a premise that takes on its fullest significance when we refer, in particular, to the physical health and mental health of older adults.

Cells produce life, and there is so much of it in each person that it is possible to activate the vitality of each of the seventy trillion cells that make up our body and bring together body, mind, and spirit.
If we want these cells to reach their full potential so we can fully enjoy everything life has to offer (holding our grandchildren in our arms, taking long walks without stopping every few steps to rest, being in good spirits to share moments with our friends…), it’s important to always stay in touch with our body’s vital capacities.

The potential, controlled by the nervous system, is the same for everyone; all we need to do is channel it to allow the cells work in harmony.

For this to happen, the nervous system and the spine must be free of interference—in other words, they must be free of vertebral subluxations.

The next question is to ask ourselves where the link is—the point of convergence that allows cells to come together, share, and function in harmony—and we find the answer in the innate intelligence that regulates and controls the nervous system.

Our body can survive without a lung or a kidney, with more or fewer teeth or more or less hair, but it cannot survive without without the nervous system. That's why we need to find a way to improve it by freeing it from subluxations with chiropractic adjustments.
Cells do not need external treatments, but rather greater internal effectiveness and efficiency. All cells know their exact function as long as they receive the information correctly.

Chiropractic care enhances this potential, as demonstrated by numerous studies showing that older adults experience an increase in their life expectancy and quality of life.

An overall sense of well-being that enables this group to exercise with less difficulty, regain personal autonomy and social engagement, while reducing their use of medication and hospital admissions.

Chiropractic care helps older adults regain their vitality and, with it, their desire to live longer and better lives.
