Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is characterized by widespread muscle pain accompanied by fatigue.
The cause is unknown, although it is related to
sleep disturbances,
psychological stress,
imbalances in the spine, or
immune dysfunctions.
The pain is often chronic and may start in one area of the body, for example, the neck (cervical spine), and end up affecting the entire body.
Other associated symptoms may include:
Tiredness or
fatigue,
difficulty sleeping,
anxiety,
depression,
migraines…
Fibromyalgia can develop after a traffic accident (whiplash). An impact that harms the skeleton and normal posture can lead to health problems in the nervous system and the muscular system.
The stress placed on certain joints and the spine irritates the body’s pain sensors, and to minimize this irritation, pain eventually develops in the muscles that maintain normal posture, creating the known Trigger Points.
These trigger points, very sensitive to touch, are found in various parts of the body. Other causes that lead to an imbalance in normal posture, apart from traffic accidents, can also produce fibromyalgia.
The diagnosis of fibromyalgia is based on the symptoms described by the patient and the number of trigger points that may be found in their body.
