Years ago, when it still enjoyed credibility, the WHO defined health this way: WHO Definition…
Health returns in cycles … it is not linear.

Health Returns in Cycles
Health
Health is the normal state of man. The absence of health is abnormal.
As long as we enjoy “a rhythmic response concerning health,” which is ideal, although sometimes we may feel a bit low, we have the ability to “return” to normality and basically continue with excellent health.
Of course, the habit of overeating or following an inadequate diet, leading a constant nightlife, lack of rest, excessive worries, and many other possible violations of health laws can cause more than just a simple dip along the normal health line.
Even small dips in the normal health line are normal warnings, and we should pay attention to them.
It is necessary to study what is required to maintain ourselves on that normal health line all the time, as the saying goes: “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
Prevention
It is much easier, much cheaper, and much more reasonable to be well than to have no care, fall ill, and see what to do to improve. A serious illness constitutes a deviation from the health line.
It can present with acute symptoms, gradually, or certain deviations not very far from normal. Symptoms may be mild, but with health declining over weeks, months, or years, more and more problems of pain and suffering will arise.
Recovery Time
Logically, we recognize that the greater the deviation in the health line (over months and even years), the farther it will be from the normal health line, and it will become increasingly difficult to return to a normal state of health.
Many times, many people tend to think that with few symptoms they will quickly return to normal health or that it is simply a bad day, although one must understand all the differences that exist if people suffering from illnesses want to be well and healthy.
When health care begins, the “power of response” will play a very important role in the nature of the experience one has when correcting to reach the normal health line.
The average return to health occurs more quickly and with shorter periods of “reaction” than most think is possible.
Reactions to Adjustment
Nerve interference that has existed for a long time and in chronic discomfort has a slower response rhythm. It is perhaps at this point that appropriate spinal care in children should be seen as very important.
If by the time adulthood is reached, there are no dips in “the health rhythm,” any chronic condition of nerve interference will not represent any problem.
It should be noted, however, that a rapid improvement in symptoms should not be considered a return to the normal health line and thinking that no further treatment is necessary.
Many people will believe they have reached the normal health line and make the mistake of discontinuing their treatment, concluding perhaps that Chiropractic did not help them, and once again they are on a declining health line. If care is interrupted, the beginning of another line corresponding to the decline of health may occur.
Time Concept Number 6
It is very important to reach the normal health line before feeling satisfied, so a health maintenance plan should be considered. An exceptional chronic case faces greater difficulties when trying to return to the normal health line.
Months or years of complications in nerve interference are in most cases responsible for a much slower response rhythm. It is well worth having and working to maintain a healthy state, as once health is lost, everything is lost! There are no impossibilities when trying to maintain health.
The best plan is not to stray too far from the normal health line because one can drift too far away and then realize that it is impossible to return to normality. Don’t forget that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Marc Bony, DC facebook.com/sublux
