The Primary Cause of Obesity is Diabetes

I just finished reading an extraordinary article published in the New York Times on Wednesday, February 27 – where the details of an astonishing study that was recently published are reviewed. This study, for the first time in history, conclusively points to the primary cause of type 2 diabetes as prolonged, excessive, and persistent weight.

However, they overlooked an incredibly important detail, which I will explain in a moment, but first, let’s address the part they got right. The study demonstrated that the link between this primary cause of type 2 diabetes and prolonged, excessive, persistent obesity was as strong as the link between cigarettes and lung cancer. So what is the primary cause?

Sugar – it’s that simple and straightforward.

Surprised? I don’t think so. But what’s astonishing is what the column has to say: “All calories release the same amount of energy when we burn them, but your body treats sugar calories differently, and that difference is harmful.”

FINALLY, people from conventional media recognize what we have known for years, which is that not all calories are created the same way… and that the most devastating waistline – expanding, clogging arteries, diabetes – produces the calories you may consume from sugar.

HOWEVER, this study and this article overlook an incredibly important detail. It’s not just the old sugar itself that triggers your body to excessively accumulate fat and cause type 2 diabetes, it’s also all the foods that our bodies convert into sugar that perform the same function.

These are the foods that most of us eat every day – the foods we thought were healthy, but that are actually absolutely loaded with sugar in various forms.

It is these kinds of hidden sugars that you must completely avoid — these do not allow your body’s main fat-burning hormone to function fully while forcing the main fat-storing hormone to overact, causing one layer of fat to accumulate on top of another layer of unwanted fat.

How to Avoid Sugar

Fortunately, I recently found a fantastic explanation by my friend and colleague Dr. Bowden, who is a world-renowned nutritionist, summarizing all these hidden types of sugar – and exactly how they can be avoided. ==> NEVER Eat these 2 Foods to Avoid Excess Fat and Type 2 Diabetes…

This is a fantastic explanation, and I highly recommend that you watch it right now as I’m not sure how long it will be available. Click here if you want to learn more. In brain health, Dr. Daniel G.
