Frequency of care: 70.2% were adjusted once a week or more frequently
Technique used: 37.6% Gonstead 28.6% Diversified A wide variety of techniques were used, with Gonstead and Diversified being the most prevalent
Primary care physicians’ opinions About chiropractic: 94.7% of chiropractic doctors considered the results for the children under their care to be good

The study shows that children who grow up under chiropractic care are less likely to contract infectious processes such as otitis, tonsillitis, and their immune system is stronger and better prepared to fight allergens such as pollen, weeds, etc., compared to children who grow up under conventional medical treatment.

There is also a significant decrease in the use of antibiotic treatments in children who are under “chiropractic care” or Natural Pediatrics Mataró, indicating that there is a lower susceptibility to bacterial infections as a result of having a good immune response. Additionally, the response from chiropractic doctors who provided additional comments was that the recovery period for children under chiropractic care with illnesses or other traumas was faster than that of their peers under conventional medical treatment.

While children treated with conventional medicine showed a lower propensity for childhood diseases compared to those under “Chiropractic” care, on average 94.4% of the children treated with vaccines in the first group was the reason for their low incidence of measles. The comments made by chiropractic doctors regarding this were that although the children they treated presented symptoms such as a rash, the children were not adversely affected, and it was not because there was evidence of a rash that it could be assumed they obviously had measles. The hypothesis of chiropractic care is that it maintains and strengthens the immune system, and this is supported by observations made about children who, although they had the disease, were not affected in their daily lives and their recovery period was shorter.

It is suspected that the negative impact of the confounding effect of immunization on the immune system regarding non-specific childhood diseases (such as otitis media, tonsillitis, etc.) could not be statistically proven through the study of a population sample, nor with other groups. It was found that the effect of maintaining a high immune system had a beneficial effect in preventing these specific diseases.

The design of this study did not provide data indicating negative effects on the immune system.

From the comments made by several pediatricians, the misconception regarding children’s health was evident. 5 out of 71 pediatricians stated that in their opinion, the issue regarding otitis media was not valid since “9 out of 10 suffer from this.” Similarly, many pediatricians believe that the issue regarding antibiotics is not valid, as “all children have had antibiotic treatment at some point,” and this topic rarely can determine the number of prescribed treatments. These opinions are fallacies propagated in allopathic (conventional) medicine, as this study has demonstrated.

In conclusion, the study demonstrates that the premises formulated regarding chiropractic having positive effects on health are valid.
