Chiropractic helps to cure Diabetes

Diabetes and Chiropractic
The connection between blood sugar and the spine
Approximately one in three men and two in five women born in the year 2000 will suffer from diabetes in their lifetime.
The possibility that chiropractic care can help people with diabetes is a promising area of research, and it is very important.
Research points to evidence that chiropractic care can make a valuable contribution to a wellness protocol that helps individuals diagnosed with diabetes.
Diabetes is the fifth deadliest disease in the United States and a growing epidemic worldwide, so help is desperately needed!
The average person may overlook the connection between diabetes and chiropractic care. People might ask themselves:
What does the spine have to do with diabetes? An electrician understands this concept faster than most people.
Interference in the current flowing through wires and appliances or areas of the house loses normal function or could even catch fire. The relationship between Chiropractic and diabetes is this:
If the nerves in the upper neck or mid-back (the two areas connected to the pancreas) are disturbed or blocked, pancreatic function suffers; perhaps in the ability to produce enzymes to digest proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, or perhaps insulin production, or both. Blood sugar and digestion become unbalanced, resulting in either diabetes or hypoglycemia.
Scientific Studies
Studies suggest a connection between sugar and the nerves of the thoracic vertebrae A study published in the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research illustrates the positive effects of chiropractic when used as part of a comprehensive diabetes treatment.
Along with chiropractic care, the patient also received nutritional guidance and exercise. After one month in the program, the patient’s blood glucose and urine levels normalized and remained stable. The doctor overseeing their progress stated that the patient would not need insulin if conditions remained stable.
Canada is currently leading the research effort
The National Post reported: “BREAKTHROUGH IN DIABETES: In a discovery that has surprised even researchers. Scientists at a hospital in Toronto say they have proof that the body’s nervous system helps stimulate diabetes, opening a door to a potential near-cure for the disease affecting millions of Canadians. The study was conducted on diabetic mice that were healthy practically all night after researchers injected a substance to counteract the effect of malfunctioning pain neurons in the pancreas (this substance is what the nervous system provides to the pancreas when there is no subluxation in the cervical and thoracic areas). ‘I couldn’t believe it,’ said Dr. Michael Salter, pain expert at the children’s hospital:
‘The diabetic mice suddenly had no more diabetes.’ The excitement of the team in the children’s area, whose work is published today in the journal Cell, is almost palpable.”
A recent study published in the November 2011 issue of the Journal of Pediatric, Maternal, and Family Health documents a case of a four-year-old child who had excellent stabilized results in their blood sugar through chiropractic care.
The patient was diagnosed with vertebral subluxation in the upper cervical region. They began chiropractic care with 24 adjustments over a two-month period. During this time, the patient experienced a decrease in hemoglobin A1C from 7.2 percent to 6.5 percent. The amount of insulin also decreased from 15 units to 11 units per day.
These results are quite remarkable. Because the annals of allopathic medicine research indicate that conventional intensive medical treatments for type I diabetes do not succeed in reducing A1C levels below 7.0 percent.
Through chiropractic care, neural connections throughout the body are optimized. This brain-body connection enhances the coordination work of the nervous system, elevating immunity and hormone function throughout the body. www.quiropractica1.com
