Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar

 

You may have heard of apple cider vinegar. Its use dates back to the beginning of time. Apple cider vinegar was used by the best doctors of the time of Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine.

What is it?

Apple cider vinegar is made by crushing apples and squeezing their juice, adding bacteria and yeast to convert the sugars into alcohol, and then fermenting it. The vinegar then grows a “mother,” which is a dark substance; this grayish substance contains minerals and enzymes that give it its health properties.

This “mother” is produced from a combination of cellulose and acetic acid bacteria during the maturation of apple cider vinegar.

Apple cider vinegar contains malic acid, which helps eliminate kidney stones and gallbladder stones. It contains iron, a mineral that many women need when menstruating because they are low in it.

Apple cider vinegar is also a source of potassium, important for electrolyte balance in the body. Apples contain natural pectin, which will also be present in apple cider vinegar. It has also been shown to regulate blood pressure.

The acetic acid content of apple cider vinegar causes bacteria to shrink and die because their environment is too acidic. However, the acid will not harm you at all. It also contains magnesium, which is vital for the heart and nerves. Without magnesium, you would be overly hyper-excited – and you would undoubtedly be hanging, irritated, and pulling your hair out and tearing your clothes by the end of the day.

There are literally hundreds of uses for apple cider vinegar. Here is a list of some of them:

  2. Decreases the risk of esophageal cancer
  3. Helps with weight loss – take it with meals for better weight loss
  4. Prevents the flu
  5. Relieves nausea
  6. Relieves heartburn
  7. Reduces inflammation
  8. Detoxifies the body
  9. Improves digestion
  10. Reduces acne
  11. Softens wrinkles
  12. Stops skin itching
  13. Cleans sunburn or boiling water burns
  14. Eliminates athlete’s foot and jock itch by simply washing the affected area with apple cider vinegar

Studies show that apple cider vinegar may even help patients with diabetes. Some researchers found that insulin levels did not rise as high after including apple cider vinegar in water during meals.

So, how is it taken? It’s simple. Add a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to a large glass of water, stir, and drink. Do this once a day. However, if you have digestive issues, then after each meal, take the glass of water with apple cider vinegar.
