How You Can Stop Cancer
New studies have shown for the first time that the human immune system can stop cancer growth without having to remove it. These results may help explain why some tumors suddenly stop growing or remain inactive for a long period.
The authors of these studies call this suppression of cancer “equilibrium state.” During equilibrium, the immune system reduces the cancer’s ability to grow and kills some cancer cells, although not enough to eliminate or shrink the cancer.
Researchers injected mice with small doses of chemical cancer and observed that these doses remained small, establishing masses at the injection sites. When certain components of the animals’ immune systems were incapacitated, cancer began to develop on a large scale. This suggests that the immune system was able to monitor and keep the tumor under control.
“One day we should train the use of artificial immunotherapy to induce equilibrium and turn cancer into a chronic but controllable disease,”
suggests co-author Mark J. Smyth, Ph.D., professor of the Cancer Immunology Program at the Peter McCallum Cancer Center in Melbourne, Australia.
“Proper immune function is now appreciated as an important factor in the prevention of some cancers. Even more so if these studies and clinical data from this process can also establish cancers in a chronic condition, similar to other serious diseases that medicine manages long-term,”
he adds.
According to the scientific theory of cancer called “immune surveillance,” your immune system can eliminate malignant cells from your body and attack tumors with the same weapons it uses to eliminate the invasion of microorganisms.
Immunotherapy uses pharmaceutical agents to enhance changes that your immune system would recognize and attack tumor cells. However, the immune surveillance theory lost acceptance when, in 2001, a new model known as immune editing was established.
The immune editing theory suggests that this conflict between cancer and the immune system takes its place naturally, but with three different strong outcomes:
1- Your immune system can eliminate cancer, completely destroying it.
2- Your immune system can create a balance with cancer, monitoring its growth but not destroying it.
3- Your cancer can escape your immune system and become more malignant.
In 1975, Ronald Pero, Ph.D., head of cancer prevention research at the Institute of Preventive Medicine in New York and professor in Environmental Health at New York University, measured 107 individuals who had received long-term chiropractic care.
Chiropractic patients showed a 200% greater immune capacity than those who had not received chiropractic care, and 400% greater immune capacity than people with cancer or serious illnesses.
Interestingly, Pero found no decrease among the different age groups in the study, demonstrating that DNA repair enzymes were present in the older groups as they were in the younger groups. Pero concluded, “Chiropractic can optimize any genetic capacity it has so that it can fully resist serious illness…” “I have never seen a distinct group show a 200% increase compared to normal patients.”
