The Return to School and Chiropractic
Do you know how your children should carry their backpacks?
Keep the bottom of the backpack about 5-7cm from the waist.
The weight of the backpack should not exceed 15% of the child’s weight. If the child weighs 35kg, the backpack should weigh no more than 5kg.
It should not be an excessively large backpack.
Always placed between the two shoulders, never hung from just one.
Try to avoid wheeled backpacks, as they always carry the weight on one arm and with a NON-natural posture.
The weight of the backpack should not exceed 15% of the child’s weight. If the child weighs 35kg, the backpack should weigh no more than 5kg.
Ensure that the load of the backpack is always balanced; do not put all the weight on the left or right side with the other side carrying little weight.
Better backpacks with pockets one in front of the other; when there are side pockets, the weight will never be balanced.
Do exercises/stretches between classes.
Make sure they know the correct posture in class.
How Can Chiropractic Help?
By periodically adjusting the spine to correct posture, treat subluxations, prevent future injuries, and educate on how to maintain a healthy spine.
The return to school and chiropractic are closely related; you can help your child achieve better health by simply visiting a Doctor of Chiropractic regularly.
