High heels are a very popular fashion accessory, but prolonged use can have negative effects on health. It is essential to understand how they can affect our posture and well-being.

These range from malformations in feet and knees to irreversible damage to the spine that often ends up in surgery. High heels cause the foot to bear the body’s weight on a single point, creating an imbalance and consequently a biomechanical alteration due to the excessive work done by the muscles and bones.
