Bipolar Syndrome Clinical Characteristics:
The bipolar patient seeks medical attention for lower back pain while showing depression with episodes of anxiety attacks associated with hemichorea. Intervention and outcome: He was adjusted using the knee chest technique of the protocol and was informed about the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids. After 4 visits, the hemichorea associated with his anxiety attacks had disappeared, and his state of depression had improved.
Conclusion:
This case is important on many levels. It suggests that chiropractic care may have a positive effect on bipolar disorder and chorea movements. Further research is needed to investigate the effects of chiropractic on bipolar disorder and hemichorea.
