Three and a half years ago, a patient suffering from severe anxiety attacks received her first adjustment.<\/p>\n

His problem stemmed from severe work-related stress, which led to a new stress: emotional stress.<\/p>\n

These crises were not continuous, but when they occurred, the patient suffered so much that on occasions she needed emergency medical assistance.<\/p>\n

For these reasons, she visited her doctor who prescribed some anxiolytics; this numbed the problem, but did not solve it. And as her work stress, together with the emotional stress, continued to persist, the medical treatment \u201chelped\u201d to alleviate the crises and the state of anxiety.<\/p>\n

As a result of the first adjustment she suffered an unexpected reaction; the days following the adjustment she felt that her body was out of control. His question was; what have they done to me, why do I feel this instability?<\/p>\n

And again the crises appeared; her body rebelled. And with each adjustment she received, she felt that instead of getting better, she was losing more control and could not explain what was happening to her. She began to feel fear and to reject the idea that Chiropractic could help her, on the contrary, what she was getting was worsening her condition. And as she felt bad, her anguish increased, and again she returned to the circle of emotional stress with anxiety crises.<\/p>\n

However, he didn't give up and decided to give himself a break, to keep getting adjustments. And after a year he began to notice a change. It took him a whole year to listen to his body, because it was the first time he noticed that his body was asking him to adjust itself. His nervous system began to balance. Her crises stopped recurring, and she evidently abandoned the anxiolytics since they were no longer necessary; she felt safe without them. And she noticed something very basic; from the first adjustment her own body began to work internally so that through those reactions that the patient felt \u201closing control\u201d, her body simply began to cleanse itself, slowly began to release everything that was \u201casleep\u201d inside, and in this way she began to feel an internal and external improvement.<\/p>\n

Understanding this inner work, listening to her body, resulted in the improvement she had been seeking for so long. And he changed his behavior and his way of thinking. She felt her body working in depth.<\/p>\n

A year ago she suffered a blockage; her back stiffened and the pain was very intense. She insisted on adjustments, but the blockage did not resolve and the pain did not go away, and when the pain lasted longer than expected, she decided to see a doctor. After an MRI, the diagnosis was 3 herniated discs. As expected, the doctor prescribed painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs and recommended surgery.<\/p>\n

The patient, who was 34 years old, did not see herself undergoing surgery, much less that such an operation would completely solve her ailments. Sometimes surgery may be the only alternative but this does not guarantee that the problem will be solved, on the contrary, abusing such operations carries more risks and the side effects are often worse than the initial ailment itself.<\/p>\n

He decided to wait; there would always be the possibility of surgery, he thought. And he decided to keep listening to his body. He decided to continue with the adjustments. She also looked for other alternatives that, far from going through something as drastic as the operating room, could bring her more benefit; she looked for an exercise that would help her feel better and relax her. Combining some Pilates and adjustments became her best \u201coperation\u201d.<\/p>\n

She is now feeling much better, barely feels her hernias and does not need any medication. He has substantially gained a quality of life that no surgical operation could have given him.<\/p>\n

\u201cLearning to listen to your own body, thinking positively, maintaining healthy habits and habits, getting my adjustments following the chiropractor's guideline have added to my quality of life. I am now healthy. And this is the only \u201cprescription\u201d I follow, and I advise all those who receive as the only answer to their ailments to take medication or undergo an operation that may not solve their problems as they think. Sometimes the solution is simpler, more accessible to us ... you just have to listen and understand that it is an inner work that may take a little longer in some cases, but in return you start to enjoy health. I feel gratitude for letting chiropractic come into my life. I wanted to share my experience with this testimony that, no doubt, can be very familiar to others who have felt the same as me, or who are currently suffering with the same symptoms. And to tell them to start practicing health as soon as possible.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n
