If you think about it, it makes perfect sense that everything has a \u00abreason.\u00ab Dysfunction in the body\u2019s tissues and systems causes physiological changes that lead to disease (or pathology), and the body alerts you to this through symptoms.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">The most common symptom is pain<\/span>, but depression, insomnia, tingling, numbness, and constipation\u2014these are also symptoms.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Only a small part of its nervous system has pain receptors<\/span>, which means there may be a lot of dysfunction in your body before you \u00abfeel\u00bb any pain symptoms.<br \/>\nA good example is a <a href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Infarto\" target=\"\" name=\"\">heart attack<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If a person who suffers a heart attack were examined in the months or years leading up to the attack, we would not see a healthy person; however, they would most likely not be experiencing any pain. The heart attack itself is the first symptom, and more than half of the people who suffer it do not survive.<\/p>\n<p>Other examples of dysfunction that develop slowly and without warning include <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">osteoporosis, diabetes, osteoarthritis, <a href=\"\/en\/la-hernia-discal\/\" target=\"\" name=\"\">disc protrusions<\/a> or hernias<\/span> before it all comes to a head. All of these problems develop gradually and have to cross a certain threshold of dysfunction before the person realizes it. That\u2019s why thinking that if <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">\u00abI'm in pain, I feel bad, and if I'm not in pain, I feel fine.\u00bb<\/span> is<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> incorrect<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Tooth decay only causes pain once a hole has formed in the tooth and the person feels the pain, but that tooth had been decayed for a long time before the pain began.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Chiropractic<\/span><br \/>\n<br style=\"font-weight: bold;\" \/><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Chiropractic<\/span> is responsible for restoring the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">proper operation<\/span> of the body, so that the body improves in a way <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">natural<\/span>.
